Immune-boosting smoothie

If you’ve ever been sick with a cold (most people definitely have) then you’ve probably spent time trying to boost your immune system by taking tons of vitamin C, right? I know I have! This smoothie is loaded with vitamin C along with tons of infection-fighting antioxidants.

Grab it:

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, & raspberries)

  • 2 fresh kale leaves

  • 1/2 cup (steamed then frozen) cauliflower

  • 1/2 cup frozen papaya

  • 1 cup homemade coconut milk

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1/2 tsp Sun Potion reishi powder

Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend on a medium-high setting until smooth, even consistently is reached.

Savor it:

Blueberries are a classic antioxidant rich berry, and they are packed with vitamins C & A. Papaya is full of vitamin C and beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A in the body. Cauliflower is easily hidden in the smoothie, and is a great source of glutathione (a powerful antioxidant that helps fight infections. I used to receive IV glutathione in between chemotherapy treatments to encourage my immune system to rebuild itself. If you’re wondering what on God’s Green earth is reishi powder, you’re not alone. Reishi is made from organic mushrooms, and is known as the “Queen Healer Mushroom.” It is one of the most potent adaptogens (substances that increase the body’s resistance to stress and health problems) and is used as an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral supplement.
